Joined HTB in a frivolous moment on a lovely June day at the village fête in 1988, aged 55. Spoke to Maurice Wright, conducting, and he said come down to the sports hut tomorrow night and we'll fix you up - and they did. Took me two months to get a note out! Was playing violin in Guildford Symphony Orchestra; retired Art lecturer. Large family including many musicians and artists. Currently have four great-grandchildren.
