Peter Foster

Peter lives in Hindhead and attends school in Petersfield. He joined the Town Band in 2005 and won the Rex Smithers Memorial Trophy in 2007. He is also a member of the South West Surrey Youth Orchestra and studies the cornet and trumpet with Dr Philip Bishop of Surrey County Arts. In 2006 he joined the National Children's Brass Band of Great Britain, under the baton of Dr Nicholas Childs, being tutored by Michelle Ibbotson of the Cory Band. He regularly participates in the Godalming Music Festival, playing either trumpet or piano, and won the Horsley Cup in 2003. Peter is a member his local amateur operatic society (the Haslemere Players) and in 2006 played Prince Chululongkorn in their production of The King and I.
