The members of Haslemere Town Band's Training Band were recently filmed by Carlton Television's London Tonight programme in a documentary about music for youth.
The camera crew first filmed the Band in rehearsal at High Lane Pavilion, Haslemere before they were asked to view their opinions about Brass Bands and music in schools.
This was followed by a coach journey that the saw the Band filmed at Clandon House and other locations in and around Guildford.
The day's events culminated in a performance of a special arrangement of tunes from Oliver in front of the Composer Lionel Bart who greatly enjoyed the performance
The programme was shown on Carlton on 26th May 1998.
