On 8th April 2001 the band competed in the Southern Counties Amateur Bands Associations (SCABA) spring contest at Hove.. After coming near to last for the past three years the hard work put in over the last year has paid off and the band came a very creditable forth. Of the three bands that beat us, two are nationally graded as third section and one is being promoted this year.
