On 20th March 2004 the band competed in the London and Southern Counties region of the Boosey & Hawkes National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain and came 5th out of 20.
This was a very good result considering that we were several players short and had several problems:
Looking at the band compared to last year there were 10 changes from last year.
